The Elctro-Gamma Wave Gun was a gun used by the aliens from the fifth dimension to sabotage houses that were being built in the swamp close to the portal that transported them between their dimension and Earth. Upon firing the gun at the base of homes, the ground would liquify to the point that the houses would sink and make firther destruction impossible. Johnny Storm stumbled upon the plot during the night after being sent by Reed Richards to investigate what was happening but he was forced by the aliens through their portal and transported to their dimension.
