History
Elinore was the second wife of Sam Pinder and therefore the aunt-in-law of Edmond Winshed, who died at the age of 17 during training on the school athletics track. Elinore was much younger than Sam and was only 7 years older than Edmond. Thanks to this small age difference, Elinore immediately entered into good relations with Edmond and in fact, besides Alice Rimes, she was the only person with whom Edmond managed to talk and confide. But all this ended the day her husband Sam waited at home for his nephew Edmond and punched him, convinced that, due to Edmond's frequent visits to his house when he was at work, he was having an affair with Elinore. Wanting to eliminate the evidence, following Alice's desire to publish Edmond's diary in the school yearbook, Edmond's family and Milner, the gym teacher, captured Alice and attempted to force her to obtain the combination to the safe where she had locked the diary, and during this torture Elinore was present making a silent scene even when Alice asked her to confirm Edmond's accusations against her family. All this plethora of emotions caused the Man-Thing to intervene and head towards the school gym where they kept Alice locked up and began to punish everyone present, including Elinore herself, who, although she had never mistreated Edmond, with her silence she was made complicit and guilty of Edmond's death and the Man-Thing with his touch burned her lips, fusing them together.[1]
