History
Ellen Brandt was killed by Nightmare during the Dreamtide Rising. This left the Man-Thing weak and vulnerable, allowing an attack from Mister Termineus to destroy the Nexus of All Realities. This caused Man-Thing's Swamp to engulf the entire planet and kill all other beings on the planet except for Man-Thing himself.[1][1]
