History
Dr. Emil Gar was a scientist under the employ of the local criminal element beleaguered by the crime fighting efforts of the Blue Blaze. They charged Gar with the task of eliminating the hero. He hired the Star-Gazer to help him in this plot. They utilized a device that would channel the energies of a specific star to create a "Star-Monster" that they hoped would destroy the Blue Blaze.
Their activities attracted the attention of the Blaze would eventually defeated the monster by coating it in molten lead. When the Star-Gazer attempted to slay the Blue Blaze with star energy channeled through a device, he redirected it back with a mirror, killing both Gar and the Star-Gazer.[2]
