History

Emma had a crush on Sarah in her school. However, she was afraid if she confessed, nobody would accept her. However, she gained courage when she participated in bouldering, Emma was known by her classmates as a champion climber at Yu's high school. When Yu walked out of the school, Emma confronted him when she heard the trainer tell her that Yu often visits the gym. She told Yu she always wanted to talk to Yu but he never ran into her. While trying to start a conversation with Yu, he avoided answering. Emma's gym audience invited her over to the car, leaving Yu behind. Shortly after, the group witnessed the incident between the police car and the van. Emma told the group to "hurry up, and go". The armed robbers threatened the driver of the vehicle to make Emma their hostage while driving off. Yu put his suit to intervene the scene.

Spider-Man and Emma escaped the car leaving the armed robbers and the vehicle crashing into the water. Emma thanked him concerned with the scratches he got; Spider-Man left the scene afterwards. The next day, Emma saw Yu struggling to pick up his items due to his injured back. She helped him and finished it off with a short conversation. Suddenly, she looked back and recognized the scratches that looked like Spider-Man's much to Yu's surprise.

"Has Emma discovered Spider-Man's secret idenity!?"

Gathering up evidence, it made sense to her that Yu's true identity is Spider-Man because he missed out school including the events at Bouldering Gym and the scratches from the day before. Yu tried covering up his identity saying he got scratches when he fell. Emma pretended to be convinced as a tactic to open Yu's bag only to find out he has Spider-Man's Suit—this caused Yu to lose focus on his exam while wondering if Emma was going to expose his identity online.

Emma found Yu sulking underneath the tree teasing him that she will not tell anyone unless he does what she said. She commanded him to follow her as she entered a classroom. She then revealed to Yu that she was teasing and wanted to repay him for saving her life. She stitched the suit Yu handed over and told Yu that she will help him on his test since he has a remedial exam coming up. They started studying after class while Yu started making friends; their group invited them to parties often. After Yu broke out the remedial exam, Emma congratulated him. One time at the party, their classmates shown a video of Screwball threatening Spider-Man to come over before many people die.

Emma and her classmates watched and rooted for Spider-Man to chase after Screwball. However, it turned out to be a hoax that Screwball lured Spider-Man into for the attention, infuriating Spider-Man, Emma and the people watching the scene.

After Silk handled Screwball, Emma let Yu know people said that Screwball played him but told him not to let it get to him asking if he was injured which turned out he was okay.

Emma and Yu hanged around at Bouldering Gym. Emma then invited Yu to her room at her house to confess her love for Sarah; Yu and Emma became best friends of each other.

Emma watched Spider-Man (Yu Onomae) fight against Venom worrying about his injuries. Emma was surprised to see Yu team up with the real Spider-Man. After Yu returned to his normal life, Emma witnessed vandals vandalizing Yu's house and scrammed the "idiots" away. Yu saw Emma at her house and joined with her to remove the graffiti.
