History
Due to the energies that Apocalypse stole from the Twelve, he became something far greater. He didn't understand what he had become as most of him existed outside of time and space, far beyond the limits of his vision. He created alternate realities and created a future, in which the Twelve and others lived on for approximately a century.
He tricked Magneto and the founding members of the Universal X-Alliance (former X-Men) to enter the power conduit, which siphoned their energies, going as far back as to the beginning of their lives, thereby creating a world in which the X-Men never existed and bringing about his agenda of galactic domination. Unknown to Apocalypse, Scott Summers' consciousness still remained within him and sabotaged his plans.
Cyclops reversed the power conduit, sending the bio-energies back to his fellow X-Men. Apocalypse was running on the remnants of the powers he stole from the Twelve, and after executing two quantum reality shifts, it was running out. They were all pulled back to Egypt, in their own time period, but before Cable could put an end to Apocalypse, he escaped with the Living Monolith.[1]
