History

The Energy Creatures of Erdile were among the alien species collected by the Collector in his Museum. The Collector used them against Thor, who, using the characteristics of the Creatures, blocked Thor's hammer by passing it into another dimension and retained it in the dimensional interface; if Thor would have somehow managed to free the hammer, the dimensional upheaval, according to the Collector, would have condemned millions of innocent inhabitants of that distant dimension. This condition turned out not to be true, but rather aimed at keeping Thor connected to the Creatures so as to make him absorb enough negative energy so that hitting him with enough positive energy would have stunned even a being as powerful as him.
