By the year 2021, the H.I.V. virus has mutated into a dozen incurable airborne strains, forcing humanity into lockdowns. When Blade, the first known vampire, was captured, his blood promised a cure not just for H.I.V. but for every virus known to man. Humans then initiated a worldwide hunt for other surviving vampires.[1]
