History

Early Years

Eric Brooks was born in Harlem, New York. As a half-human, half-vampire, he fed on human blood until he was found by Jamal Afari. Jamal sheltered young Eric and began to train. Some point Jamal gave his student the alias "Blade". Every Sunday he took young Eric to church. Once Vlad Dracula turned Jamal into a vampire and Blade had to kill his mentor.

Midnight Suns

One day, Blade hunted vampires on the roof of a building in New York. After killing them all, Eric noticed how Magik and The Caretaker teleported to him. They invited him to join the Midnight Suns, to which Eric quickly agreed.
