Notes
- Erich Zann was created by H.P. Lovecraft in his story "The Music of Erich Zann" (published in March 1922).
- Ralph Macchio and Yancey Labat's version in Adventures of the X-Men #4 (July, 1996) differ greatly, the character matching only through his name, his violin, and a connection to the Cthulhu Mythos.
- Versions closer to the source material have appeared in Marvel Comics, as "The Music of Erich Zann" was adapted as "The Music From Beyond" in Chamber of Darkness #5 (June, 1970), written by Roy Thomas Johnny Craig, then under its original title in Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft #2 (September, 2008) by Richard Corben.
