History

Ernesto Mendez was an inventor who invented an engine valve that would save fuel and reduce pollution. When his nephew Pablo told him that if he sold it to Markham he would pay him a fortune, but Ernesto replied piqued that his discovery was for the world. Markham later had Ernesto beaten to death and apparently kidnapped Pablo to appropriate the find. On his deathbed, Ernesto begged Eddie Brock to save his nephew Pablo.
