History
Not much is known about Ernst Wythim other than that he claimed to be the last Black Knight, the last to bear the Ebony Blade and the curse of the blade had driven him insane (he claims to have killed 10,000 souls with the blade). In order to rid himself of the curse, he managed to travel back in time by killing himself with the blade and arriving in the era of Dane Whitman. He attempted to kill Dane, but was ultimately defeated by him.[1]
