Synopsis for "Blood Eagle"
Pete Wisdom finds himself trapped with a mysterious man named Shrine who plans to execute Wisdom for his recent actions - the investigation of the death of his friend Culley. Shrine introduces the concept of a virus called "Black Eagle," derived from the Uncreated, an alien species. The virus is meant to induce stress and destroy flesh. Wisdom attempts to fight back using his mutant power but is affected by the virus, resulting in injuries.
Meanwhile, Kitty Pryde navigates through the Dream Nails facility, evading Black Air agents. She encounters aliens who once were imprisoned here and later escaped. The aliens reveal themselves as the Uncreated, sharing their past and their goal of eliminating belief in a higher power.
On Muir Island, Rory Campbell continues his psychoanalysis of Spoor. But the former Acolyte has learned that Rory has run out of mood-stabilizers, i.e. Spoor can use his powers on him making Rory increasingly angry. This leads to Rory wanting to attack Spoor using a broken leg of a chair. But this hostlity makes the automatic lasers which Rory had installed into the room targeting him and subsequently cutting off one of his legs.
At the shore, Moira MacTaggert grapples with the reality of having the Legacy Virus. She's visited by Rahne Sinclair, her foster daughter, who offers support and questions about the virus's severity.
Back at Dream Nails, Wisdom manages to resist Shrine's psychological attacks by confronting his past actions. Shrine's condition deteriorates due to the virus. Wisdom eventually escapes his confinement and reunites with Kitty. They trigger an explosion at Dream Nails to destroy the alien technology and make their escape in the Midnight Runner. As they fly away, Wisdom and Kitty share their first romatic moment ...
