Synopsis for "The Spire"
Due to his injuries, Pete Wisdom has to sit in a wheel-chair. At least he is having some fun by wearing a swimming cap and mimicking Professor Xavier. Kitty Pryde playfully chides him for his poor impression. Pete defends himself, claiming he's only seen Xavier on TV. Moira MacTaggert appears and insists on more medical tests for Pete, who wryly jokes about her unconventional methods.
Kitty, Meggan, and Wolfsbane take a walk along the cliffs of Muir Isle. Meggan reveals her growing control over her elemental powers which not only make her sense a fire miles away, but also that a mutant might be responsible for it. Meggan grabs both Kitty and Rahne to fly to the mainland where she uses her ability to manipulate natural forces to extinguish the fire. The meet the young girl Bridgit and learn about her traumatic experiences, including being labeled a mutant by Reverend Craig.
Kitty, Meggan, and Rahne travel to Kinross, where Wolfsbane wants to confront the Reverend whom she knows only too well. Rahne challenges Craig, revealing her knowledge of his past and his cruel treatment of her. Craig is left sobbing, while Rahne departs with the feeling of finally having closed a door of her past.
