History
When the Fairy mathematician Equation (Dr. Erasmus Dawnbright) developed Enchantimatics to prove that magic was just math that wasn't figured out yet, the Fairy Council ripped his wings, banished him from Otherworld,[2] and cursed him.[3][4] The curse was fatal and Equation would die the moment is was removed.[3]
When a Fairy queen[5] from an isle of Otherworld broke the rules by mating with a human, leading to the birth of Shaylee Moonpeddle, the Fairy Council forbid her from ever seeing her human mate again. He accepted and left, as he wanted Shaylee to grow with her people.[1]
During the opening presentation of the 2023 Multiversal Math Bowl, Equation used his powers to project Fairy soldiers claiming to act on behalf of the Fairy Council, here to arrest him and all attendants for crimes against magic (for practicing mathematics).[2]
