Synopsis for "Conclusion"
Psylocke reflects on her self-doubt and the destructive nature she feels within. Echoes of her mentor’s harsh words haunt her, making her question her right to be a hero. She tells herself to focus on her mission and her companions as they prepare to confront Apoth's forces in Dubai.
The team, including X-23, Cable, Husk, and Bling, lands in Dubai to face Apoth's controlled civilians. X-23 emphasizes the importance of not harming the innocents controlled by Apoth. As Psylocke prepares to face Apoth alone, X-23 leads the others in holding off the civilians.
Psylocke ascends a high-rise using her psychic abilities. On the rooftop, Apoth taunts her, but Psylocke resists his manipulations and ultimately connects to the Overclock tech to confront him directly in cyberspace.
On the ground, the team battles Apoth's forces, with Cable using a phosphorus flash to gain an advantage. Meanwhile, Apoth attempts to break Psylocke by shifting into forms of her mentor, lover, and daughter. Psylocke’s resolve holds strong, and she uses her psi-knife to defeat Apoth. Suddenly, a mysterious figure reveals itself as the opposite aspect of Apoth, explaining that its purpose was to stop Apoth by sending Psylocke.
Back on Krakoa, Psylocke tells X-23 that she is stepping away from further fights, recognizing Laura as a better leader. Psylocke delivers the Overclock tech containing Apoth's echoes to Mister Sinister, advising him to destroy it, though knowing he won’t. She agrees to help Sinister in the future if his need is just.
