Synopsis for "Fast Lane Part 1 of 4: Media Blitz"
After a critic declared that the special effects in the Zane Whelan film where the best he'd ever seen, Mysterio began attacking theaters, billboards, and anything that promoted the movie, leading Spider-Man to fight him. When Peter arrived late for work, Jonah told his intern Sam Exmore that he would not run an ad for Zane Whelan's film. Sam drove his fellow intern Toni Harris and Peter across town in a van with Zane Whelan's face shown on the side, leading Mysterio to use a magnet to grab them. Peter wanted to save Sam and Toni without revealing to them that he was Spider-Man.
Notes
- This story was not presented in its own comic, but released as a back-up feature in multiple comics between 1999-2000. These were an anti-drug initiative from the U.S. government.
