I won't monkey with anything I don't know about! Also I've learned somethin' else, too.. that no matter how ordinary it may seem... nothing in this fantastic universe is ever really useless!!
A farmer develops a plant that grows so quickly at night that it becomes a menace to all objects around it by crushing and tossing them. The farmer feels he is done for as he runs to hide behind a meteorite that fell from the sky earlier in the day, but as the plant touches the rock, it begins to shrivel and die. The farmer and his son along with the neighbors quickly use tools to break up the meteor and apply it to the plant thus saving themselves.
The Russian Government has the incredible plan to strike fear into the American people by sending over agents dressed up as Martians. Just as the spies' plan was forming as they had arranged real Martians kidnap them in order to silence any fear of Martians so they can attack in 100 hundred years without worry.

A ruthless businessman buys an estate with a large tree blocking his view, so he attempt to hire some villagers to cut it down but they refuse, stating it is the oldest thing in the village and there would be a curse placed on any who tried to cut it down. The scoffing man takes a few whacks at it with an ax himself but tires quickly and goes to bed. He hears sounds and sees branches of the tree extending into the window, probing after him. He tries to flee the house out of the door, but the tree has used its branches to block the door. The only place left he can run is the basement and he has his back against the wall there as the branches still approach him, when suddenly the dawn light comes through a window and the branches retreat. He finds himself in his bed and thinks it was just a nightmare, but he sees one single branch still in the doorway which convinces him it really happened. The experience has given him a change of heart and he packs his bags to leave the estate and attempt to make up for his underhanded business dealings.
A thief steals a ruby from an Indian Lama's temple and finds himself cursed to see the Lama's face everywhere he goes. He tries to get out of the country by train, but still finds himself pursued by the face. Panicked, he pulls the emergency stop cord on the train and leaps out. Unfortunately for him, the place he chose to stop the train happened to be just as it was crossing a high trestle bridge.
