Half the fun of being a cat burglar was the thrill of it all. But ever since that idol cursed me with spider-powers, that's all gone. Everything's too easy now.

Night-Spider[source]

History

When Felicia pulled a heist to steal the Spider Idol from Anton Miguel Rodriquez, the idol bit her to endow spider powers. Initially enamored by the powers, Felicia became Night-Spider and committed numerous heists for days, using her new powers to bypass security and abscond with the loot. While being sought after by the NYPD, Felicia grew disillusioned with her abilities rendering her heists unchallenging, finding the powers more of a curse having lost the thrill of her cat burglar lifestyle. Felicia came clean to her best friend, NYPD Detective Jean DeWolff hoping to give her some sort of apology and expecting prison escapes to be her next big thrill. However, Araña appeared just as she was being arrested and petitioned Felicia to aid the Spider-Verse in what she called a completely hopeless cause. With such high stakes enticing Felicia, she broke her hand cuffs to accompany Araña, leaving Jean DeWolff bemused with how she would report this.[1]
