History
Black Cat infiltrates a masquerade party held by J. Jonah Jameson to rob the guests, but Spider-Man stops her and captures her, although she manages to escape while taking her to the police.[1] The next day the cat went to the Daily Bugle and proposed that Jameson collaborate to ruin Spider-Man's reputation and he accepted.[1] Jonah had to publish the news that the Black Cat would try to steal the Maltese Mouse (a statue with diamonds for eyes), so Spider-Man would try to stop her and would make a fool of himself, but fail. [1]
Shortly afterwards the cat stole the statue, but Spider-Man managed to recover it even though the thief escaped again.[1] Spider-Man was hired to protect the Maltese Mouse while he was displayed on television, just as the cat wanted so as to ridicule him in front of millions of viewers.[1] The cat stole the statue again, but Spider-Man eventually recovered the stolen goods and captured her, handing her over to the police.[1]Notes

- Makes a "purr" sound, similar to DC character, Catwoman, in the Adam West Batman series.
Trivia
- The Black Cat has also shown that she is attracted to Peter Parker not just Spider-Man, contrary to the comics. However, she is unaware that they are the same person.
