Taskmaster[src]

History

A criminal with illusion-casting powers, Figment found herself imprisoned in the Big House. The Mad Thinker recruited her for assistance in escaping the miniaturized prison. He noted that Figment and a few others would have to remain behind, but promised that they would be "handsomely compensated." Figment used her powers to trick the guards, which enabled the majority of the other convicts to escape.[1]

King in Black[]

Years later, Figment was seen in the Ravencroft Institute, where she was held prisoner alongside several other supervillains. When Knull's forces attacked, the Thunderbolts were sent to investigate. Mister Fear recognized Figment, as he had previously slept on her couch for two months. When the Symbiote Hive attacked, the Thunderbolts released Figment and the other prisoners and escaped. Taskmaster ordered Figment to stay on their escape bus while the Thunderbolts investigated.[2]

After the Thunderbolts found the bisected corpse of Sentry, they returned to the Ravencroft inmates on the bus. When the bus broke down, Taskmaster reluctantly made Figment and the other inmates honorary members of the Thunderbolts. The group fought their way through Knull's forces in New York City. Figment used her illusory powers to make Kingpin believe the Thunderbolts had perished while defeating Knull. Taskmaster later confronted Kingpin and Typhoid Mary, blackmailing Kingpin into funding the Thunderbolts, including Figment, on a regular basis.[3]
