Alec Wright was the lawyer who was in charge of John Rand's affairs.
When John Rand and his family were lost in the Belgian Congo, they were declared legally dead. Wright forged documents to ensure that he was part owner of Rand's diamond mines. However, when Rand's colleague Winston noticed a striking resemblance between John Rand and the jungle adventurer Ka-Zar (Rand's adult son David) he mounted an expedition to learn the truth. Wright accompanied Winston in order to protect his illegal activities and attempted to leave Ka-Zar and Winston to burn to death in a cabin when they were resting for the night. Ka-Zar's animal friend Trajah rescued them and Ka-Zar chased after Wright. Not watching where he was going, Wright blindly stumbled off a cliff to his death.[1]
