History
Arthur Vector was one of the first scientists to devote his attention to quantum entanglement, a theory that held that every atomic particle has a twin somewhere linked to it by faster-than-light forces. Unfortunately, Arthur's dedication to his work put a strain in his family life, since he was almost never home to be with his small daughter Valerie.
One day, Arthur's wife approached him in his lab to ask for a divorce. Valerie had followed her to eavesdrop, and ran away struck by grief. She blindly stumbled into Arthur's machines, causing an accident that gave her superpowers related to the lines of quantum entanglement. With his daughter having become living proof of his theories, Arthur never let his interest for her waver.
Years after Valerie had refined her abilities, allowing her to teleport instantly anywhere in the globe, Arthur and his wife went on to publish their findings. Shortly after Valerie had joined the Avengers as the superhero Voyager, both Arthur and his wife passed away.[1]
