Synopsis for "Cataclysm: Ultimate Spider-Man, Part Two"
The issue begins with a flashback to the Ultimatum event in which New York City was flooded two years prior. Tandy Bowen, now the superhero Dagger, remembers her desire to help people during that event and her mother's contrary desire to only look out for themselves. In the present day, Tandy uses this memory to fuel her passion to fight the new threat facing New York City, Galactus. Dagger convinces her partner Cloak to teleport them directly in front of Galactus to try and attack him, but their efforts are useless and they have to teleport out of the way in time to dodge a laser beam attack from Galactus' eyes.
Meanwhile, the Ultimates arrive in New York City to help save as many civilians as possible while other members are elsewhere devising a plan to defeat Galactus. Spider-Woman and Spider-Man help a group of school children find their parents and get to safety. Miles is reminded during this process of a memory he has of his dad during the Ultimatum event expressing his frustration and great dislike for mutants, mumbling that he would not know what to do if he ever found out his son were a super-powered "freak".
Nearby, Lana Baumgartner, also known as the new teenage superhero Bombshell, is so caught up in her own thoughts and music as she walks down the street that she misses Galactus towering over the city and all of the people running away around her. She realizes what is going on when her ex-boyfriend runs into her and grabs her attention, but before they can have much significant interaction he is smashed by a falling car from the sky. Bombshell then sees the Ultimates flying through the sky overhead and follows them, promptly helping Spider-Woman and Spider-Man evacuate kids as well as single-handedly stopping an armed robbery across the street, which Spider-Woman praises her for. At this same time, elsewhere, Cloak & Dagger find that they can help transport people who are in dangerous locations to safety when they teleport a woman to the hospital using Cloak's powers.
After saving children, Spider-Man heads across town to try and pick up his father so he can transport him to safety, but his father is resistant and Miles Morales reveals to his father that he is Spider-Man.
