Synopsis for "Purple, Part 1"

Matt Murdock in a confessional booth tells the priest the story of how he had previously been outed as Daredevil but then regained his secret identity. Life had been going pretty good in San Francisco, until one night Typhoid Mary attacked him in bed with his girlfriend.Matt defeated her but their apartment burned due to a fire she started. Afterwards they return to NYC, where Matt is treated like a celebrity and hounded by photographers. Matt swings around as Daredevil, reacquainting himself with the city, when he hears a cry for help and investigates.

He finds Tombstone and his gang about to kill a man. DD defeats them and the cops arrive to arrest Tombstone, but DD feels there is something off. The next day he learns that Tombstone plans to sue him for assault. The DA says it’s best if he stays out of it, both as DD and as Matt Murdock.

Daredevil broods, realizing he could do more good when his identity was still secret. Looking for a way to make everyone forget the truth about himself, he visits various powerful beings, including Dr Strange, Silver Surfer, Emma Frost, and Daimon Hellstrom, but none can help him. He and Christie go back to San Francisco and rent a new apartment, when the Purple Children show up at his door.
