History

Fireflytes and Devils are two stages of a lifeform native to Homeworld's Jungle Zone. When one dies a "chrysalis birthing" occurs, and from the ashes of the one comes the rebirth of the other. It is not known how many Devils and Fireflyte's there are, but two distinct Fireflyte's served with the Micronauts, one of them the companion of their Devil (this Fireflyte later died) and the other born out of Devil himself following his death (twice!). Fireflyte convinced the creature called Scion to sacrifice himself in order to save the Microverse. She and the other Micronauts also sacrificed themselves. While some of the Micronauts have resurfaced, Fireflyte has not.
