History

When Logan decided to spend his vacation in Brazil and traveled to Fortaleza, he was contacted by Professor X, who warned him that the Cerebro had detected a very powerful mutant signature in the city that should be investigated.

Even before Wolverine could enjoy the beaches of Ceará, he already had an encounter with some "trombadinhas" who tried to steal his motorcycle. Logan finds out the hard way that one of the boys, Mexer, is a mutant. When he finished chasing them, Logan saved those same kids from being killed by another group of thugs. In gratitude for having helped them, they took him to their community where he becomes more friendly with Mexer.

Logan believed that Mexer was the one identified by the Cerebro, however this was a very respected healer in the village, called Father Kuhrra, who used his mutant gift to surgically cure any sick person without the need for any instrument.

Later, Mexer was kidnapped by the same gang that tried to kill him earlier at Kuhrra's behest and once again Logan went to save him. In the process, Wolverine is shot, dragged by a car, and thrown to the bottom of the sea, but due to his healing factor, he returns triumphant as ever, with everyone around him staring in surprise and wondering how he survived.

Oncr he meets Kuhrra, Logan started a battle in which it was discovered how skillful Kuhrra is with his skin manipulation. At the end of the fight, Logan managed to defeat him, piercing the villain with his claws, even though he had promised to spare his life. Only then does Logan discovered that Kuhrra, in addition to curing people, also damaged their minds, leaving them as mindless zombies, and then sold them to work for mining explorers and, unfortunately, that's what happened to Mexer. Logan arrives at the mine where countless people were working under the rain and, inside a hole, without any emotion, his friend Mexer.

Logan then took him to the Xavier Institute, but not even Professor could heal him. And that was 15 years ago. [1]
