Francine was the french maid who worked for Marla Drake, aka Miss Fury, and one of her closest confidants. It was at her suggestion that Marla began wearing the panther skin outfit that her uncle left to her after he had died. This led her to become Miss Fury. Francine also took care of Marla's pet cat, Peri Purr.[1] Later, she switched from being Marla's maid to the nanny or governess to her adopted son.[citation needed]
