Frank Strange's family was killed by a group of demons, leading him to study magic in order to punish them for their deaths.
Contest of Champions[]
At some point, Frank Strange was captured by the Collector and taken to Battlerealm to participate the Contest of Champions; however, he was rejected by the Contest itself and placed into storage with the other rejected Champions.
M.O.D.O.K., Mo' Problems[]
Frank Strange was eventually found and freed from the ISO-8 Crystal he was encased within by M.O.D.O.K. only to be quickly taken down by the Summoner's Champions.
Hotel M.O.D.O.K.[]
Frank Strange was one of the many Champions the Summoner had to fight through to escape Hotel M.O.D.O.K.Paraphernalia
