Synopsis for "Seven Seals"

An amnesiac Eddie Brock wanders aimlessly through the void of the Symbiote Hive-Mind, bleeding from his missing right eye. A voice greets him, telling him he walks the path of the magician. Slowly remembering his name, Eddie laments that he barely remembers anything, as his journey to return to the past has taken much from him. The voice replies that the magician's journey involves the sacrifice of the ego, and that while magic comes in many forms all magicians adhere to one of two paths: white magic like that used by Doctor Strange, and black magic that leaves the world stained with blood and venom. Looking down, Eddie sees a floating severed hand, jet black with a white patch on the back, with burning fingertips. Eddie protests that he's not a magician, but the voice replies that while the rigid definitions of Eddie's era may place him outside the Secret Fire, in the deepest depths of the Hive the truth is revealed. Eddie's surroundings slowly resolve into a massive furnace into which living abyss is fed, the voice explaining that they are in the Un-Beyond, the Qlippoth of Omega, the true core of the Hive-Mind and home of the King in Black. Describing it as the engine room where the work of sustaining the Hive is done, the voice tells Eddie to say what he needs done. Eddie asks to see his son, needing to know if he's safe.

Eddie is shown a vision of Dylan Brock meeting with Normie Osborn on the roof of the Alchemax Headquarters, weeks from the present. Normie warns Dylan that Liz Allan told him to turn Dylan over to Alchemax security forces if he reached out, but says that he couldn't betray his friend. Dylan says that he needs Normie's help, Normie expressing condolences over Eddie's death only to be told that Eddie is somehow still alive, trapped in the future and trying to get back to him. Saying that Normie of all people should understand, Dylan transforms into Venom and says he needs Normie's help to save his father. Normie asks Dylan how he's supposed to do that, and Venom procures a red-and-white symbiote. As Normie recoils in horror at the memory of having been subsumed by the Carnage symbiote's bloodlust as the Goblin Childe, Venom assures him that it doesn't have to be like that again; adding that he's been putting together a team of allies and didn't come for another symbiote but for his friend. Normie agrees to help Dylan and bonds to the symbiote, transforming into a red, black, and white version of the Red Goblin.

Coming to his senses, Eddie asks what he just saw and the voice replies that it was a glimpse and that he only has four questions left, one of the flames on the hand's fingertips extinguishing. Eddie asks how he can stop Meridius, the voice scolding him for wasting a question on something he already knows the answer to. Eddie says that to stop Meridius he needs Venom -- both the symbiote and his son; the voice asking how far he's willing to go to reach them. Eddie responds that he'll go to the end of the world, and is shown a vision of Meridius and the other Kings in Black -- Bedlam, Wilde, Tyro, Finnegan, and Eddie himself -- facing off against Dylan as Venom, Normie as the Red Goblin, Bren Waters as Toxin, Flash Thompson as Agent Anti-Venom, Sleeper, Flexo the Rubber Man, and a resurrected Lee Price wielding a Necrosword katana.
