History

Fritz Mueller was a spy for the Nazis during World War II. By 1944, he was living in the United States under the cover of a pitcher for the New York Blue Sox baseball team.

In the spring of that year, he was sent to assist in the capture of an American soldier who learned of a plot by the Imperial Japanese Army to blast loose icebergs in the North Pacific to flow down and crush Allied convoys. He made the mistake of dropping his lucky rabbit's foot at the scene of the crime.

When Toro, a devout baseball fan, learned of this from the authorities, he suspected Mueller of being responsible. He captured him in the middle of a baseball game and brought him to police headquarters where they were able to get the information out of him.[1]

His subsequent fate is unknown.
