The Kindred are two of the many Champions at the Summoners' disposal in the Contest of Champions held in the Battlerealm.[1]

History

Origins[]

Gabriel Osborn and Sarah Stacy were spliced from the DNA of Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn as part of Harry's cruel plot to torment Peter Parker. They were raised by an artificial intelligence fashioned after both Harry and Norman, but ended up dying due to a genetic instability that caused their bodies to rapidly age. Mephisto later resurrected the twins and gave them demonic powers so they could exact Harry's revenge on Peter.[2]

Contest of Champions[]

Arachnophobia[]

Having somehow found their way to the Battlerealm, Kindred used their nightmare inducing powers on the Spot in order to set a chain of events in motion that culminated with the destruction of the Web of Life and Destiny at the hands of Spider-Man Supreme.[3]

Ties That Bind[]

Kindred planned to build a replacement for the Web of Life and Destiny that they could use to make every Spider-Person in the Battlerealm destroy themselves, but their plan was thwarted by the combined efforts of the Summoner, Spider-Man Supreme, Spider-Man and Silk.[4]

Attributes

Weaknesses

The Contest labels the Kindred as Mystic Champions, therefore weakening them against Science Champions.[1]

Notes

  • No distinction is made between Gabriel and Sarah as Kindred in the game, meaning the player could be playing with any of them at any given time.
  • Though mostly accurate to the source material, Kindred's bio in-game contains some inaccuracies:
    • Gabriel and Sarah Stacy[5] are referred to as "Gabriel and Stacy Osborne".[2]
    • It's stated they were spliced from Harry's DNA[2] instead of Norman's.[7]
    • The artificial intelligence which raised the twins is said to have been "designed by Norman and Harry",[2] but it was actually designed by Harry alone.[8]
