History
The belief closely held among the scholars of the secret histories of the world is the Elder Gods were brought into creation by Demiurge soon after our planet had formed. Of the eternal divinities birthed all those eons ago, the most powerful were Oshtur, Set, Gaea, and Chthon.[1]
For millions of years, the Elder Gods ruled over all of creation, but each sought out knowledge that would alter the paths, and the fate of the planet itself. Set discovered that by devouring his fellow gods, he could consume their power. After Set consumed Hyppus, Chthon and most of the other Elder Gods followed his example. War of cosmic proportion broke out among them as they struggled for dominance. But with their action began a degeneration, and those gods who had consumed their kin, were soon reduced to demons.
Gaea was among those who refrained and thus saved herself from the fall. She became a protectorate of the world and the single power holding the darkness at bay. Her mere presence was vital to restoring the balance within the Elder Gods and revitalizing Earth itself. Without Gaea, who currently resides within the Earth, the world and its outlying planets would have been consumed long ago. She sealed the world from both Set's and Chthon's influence and also entered a union with Demiurge to produce Atum who went on to hunt slay the Elder Gods who became demons.[1]
