History
Galactus was a non-sentient scavenger who flew from one planet to the next, pulling itself, galaxy to galaxy, via its enormous tentacles. Arriving on Earth, neither the Fantastic Four nor any of the planet's heroes were capable of reasoning with it or stopping it, and with no heralds to warn of its approach, the Earth fell to Galactus' hunger.[1]
