History

Galactus was attacking a Skrull planet when the team of heroes arrived to try and steal the Muonic Inducer from him. Galactus attacked the team, but was stopped by the heroes and Silver Surfer.

He then vowed to destroy the Earth and indeed tried to do this, but was stopped by Thor at some point before superhero Civil War. The exact details were not explained.
