History

Galactus was seen as the dark god of the Universal Church of Truth who used the organization to seek out worlds and to conqueror them in order to feed his insatiable hunger. Galactus devoured the planet of Spartax and the current planet New Xandar after the destruction of the Nova Corps.

During his feed, a signal came from Imperial Guard member Pulsar who alerted Galactus' herald the Matriarch that Emperor Quill was on Earth. Galactus then told his herald to ready the armada to go Earth mentioning that he hasn't been there in a long time.
