History
Gayle Watson was the daughter of Madeline Watson and sister of Mary Jane Watson. Gayle used to said to her sister that she was lucky to have her, but not in a nice way.[1] After Mary Jane married Peter Parker, Gayle told her that she was wasting her life and that having children would only make her mistakes permanent. Gayle and Mary Jane stopped talking for years, despite this, she invited her every year to her family Christmas party, but Gayle never assisted. Gayle married a man named Douglas. However, he had an affair for several years and after Gayle found out, she decided to divorce him.
In December 2024, Gayle assisted to Mary Jane's family Christmas party, along with her mother Madeline and aunt Anna Watson. After several arguments with Mary Jane, Gayle opened up, acknowledged her mistakes and apologized to her sister, reconciling with her.[2]Notes
- Gayle is the opposite of her 616 counterpart and ironically more resembles the early 616 version of her sister. Like Gayle, Mary Jane of Earth-616 didn't want to be married as she saw it as taking away her freedom, and instead wished to live an exciting life, unlike 616's Gayle who had an unhappy, albeit more long-lived, marriage.[3]
