History

Hale was indoctrinated into Hydra at a young age and was eventually selected by Daniel Whitehall to bear a future super-soldier, who became her daughter Ruby. As a U.S. General, Hale managed to survive the purge of Hydra leadership by Phil Coulson and Glenn Talbot, eventually ending up as the sole high-ranking member of Hydra, which led to her making contact with the Confederacy.
