History

General Meade allied with Senator Boynton and Edwin Cord eliminate Iron Man using Firepower, but he wanted to avoid fatalities, suggesting that Iron Man’s destruction could take place in a sparsely populated area. During a practical test, he was impressed by how Firepower handled the aggressor drones in exemplary fashion. Some time later, when Iron Man was hit by a Firepower's missile in Casa Grande, he ordered all the soldier to get to the shelters.

After some follow-up tests on the Firepower armor, Meade and Senator Boynton wanted to take custody of the armor, but Cord refused to give it to them and had Taggert blow up the flatbed truck they were going to use to take away the armor.
