Synopsis for "Death in the Family"
Under Emplate's control, Everett (Synch) Thomas returns to his parents' home in St Louis. He looms over his infant sister, apparently with hostile intent, until his parents intervene. Shocked back to his senses, Everett flees his family home, leaping through a window. The local police arrive and question Everett's parents.
Shortly after, Generation X arrives at the Everetts' St. Louis home. Emma uses her psychic powers to persuade the police to leave with no recollections of the incident. Sean (Banshee) tries to console Everett's parents. The Generation X students pursue Everett.
Everett goes to his former high school and encounters friendly custodian Giovanni. Giovanni has fond memories of Everett. Suddenly, Everett seems overwhelmed again by Emplate's influence. Everett's powers flare up as he threatens the startled janitor. Paige (Husk) in solid metal form intervenes. Paige, Jubilee, and Monet seek to reason with Everett.
Back at the Massachusetts Academy, Jono (Chamber) is haunted by his recent encounter with the ominous Onslaught. Jono confers with Angelo (Skin).
