Synopsis for "For the Sake of the Children"
Husk, M, Synch, Jubilee, Banshee, and Emma Frost are flying back to their school from St. Louis on a private jet. Husk writes a letter to her brother Sam, reflecting on their recent adventures and describing their companions. Banshee becomes suspicious of the plane's direction and discovers it's headed to Canada instead of Snow Valley. He pretends to stretch his legs and investigates, but as he opens the door, everything in the cabin is sucked out.
Synch, tied up by Jubilee for a joke, gets pulled out of the plane. Husk tries to save him by transforming her skin, but M ultimately rescues him and closes the door. They discover Banshee jumped out and Emma dismisses it, saying they’ll deal with it once back at the school.
Banshee lands safely and suspects Emma's involvement in the plane's misdirection. Banshee makes his way to Montreal Airport where he hacks into the flight computers to locate the kids but finds nothing. He decides to seek local help.
Meanwhile, Skin and Chamber are traveling together. Skin steals food, and Chamber feels a psionic disturbance, which he suspects is linked to Onslaught.
After the plane has landed, Jubilee confronts Emma, who admits a change in plans. Jubilee and Synch attack Emma with their powers, but Emma uses her telepathy to turn their powers against them. Husk tries to help but finds her powers aren't working. Monet challenges Emma and is knocked unconscious by a psionic attack. Emma brings the kids to an old mansion, claiming it will be their new home. Under her mental influence, the kids behave like younger children. Emma vows to protect them amid the global threat that is Onslaught.
The Toad is in the mansion as well, watching from above and plotting something unknown.
