George Midoro was a first-class private in the United States Marine Corps who served in the Vietnam War. Following his service in the war, he was transferred to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Iwakuni, Japan.
While in Japan, he began to suffer from PTSD and, as a result, went on a drive-by killing spree on summer. Once he was cornered by the police, he held Yu Komori and his friends hostage and hijacked a plane headed to Osaka. Midoro shot out the landing and altitude controls, hoping that it would force the plane to crash. Luckily for the plane's passengers Komori's subdued Midoro and, as Spider-Man, helped the plane land safely. Upon the plane's landing, Midoro was taken into police custody.[1]
