History
Dr. George Soidisant wrote the book Dressing for the 21st Century: The World of Materials Research, published in 1991, in which he discussed the advantages of biomimitecs in the development of fabrics for clothing, oriented to armored gear based on evolved, well-adapted biological beings. Soidisant described the resistant fabric of spider webs, the layered shells of molusks that is difficult to damage, or the protein molecule cables in a rat's tooth where one strand can be broken without damaging the integrity of the whole component.[1] Soidisant's work seems to have influenced Daredevil's padded uniform.[1][2]
