History
George Stacy Memorial Halfway House is a institute for people in jail to learn necessary skills to re-integrate into society, and also served as a residence for them; prisoners were to return to jail to spend the night and the weekends. Prisoners had access to a TV set and were not forbidden from smoking indoors. It was close to the intersection between 2nd Avenue and 6th Street in New York City.[1]
Abner Jenkins, alis the Beetle, spent a time at the Halfway House while pretending to have reformed and working at Brandywine Pharmaceutical Company. Secretly, he was also leading a small criminal gang and trying to frame Peter Parker for the death of one of his own minions. Jenkins used the Halfway House as a meeting point with TV journalist Andrew Disanto to give Disanto incriminating evidence against Spider-man; eventually, Spider-man tracked Jenkins and the later was arrested.[1]Residents
