History
Gerd was a beautiful woman,[2] possibly a Giantess.[1]
As Frey swore Gerd would become his wife, he sent his childhood friend Skirnir to win her hand for him, in exchange for his magical sword, that made its wielder unconquerable.[2]
Skirnir went to Gerd, winning her hand for Frey, and kept the sword, who was soon stolen during his sleep.[2]Notes
- In Norse Myth, Gerd was a Jotunn. In Marvel Comics, she was stated to be possibly a giantess.[1]
