Synopsis for "The Bride with the Broken Heart"

Diana marries businessman Jim and shares his globe-trotting life until she becomes pregnant. Jim’s plane vanishes in the Alps, and Diana and her new son Jimmy are left alone. Some years later, Diana and her son visit Switzerland, and Jimmy vanishes in a blizzard. He’s rescued by mute stranger Johann, who turns out to be amnesiac Jim. Jim recovers his memory and the family is reunited.

Synopsis for "The Awakening"

Wealthy Clare, working as a social worker, meets Tony: his family is poor but he has ambitions to succeed. Although her supervisor Lloyd warns her that Tony is using her, Clare has fallen in love and quits her job. But as Lloyd predicted, Clare discovers Tony has no ambition except to spend her fortune. She drops him and returns to her social work job, and to Lloyd.

Synopsis for "I Can't Get Married"

Millie and Rena live alone on a farm. Their neighbour Rennie dates Rena, but confesses that he loves Millie. Millie turns him down for her sister’s sake, and Rennie joins the Army. Millie then learns Rena didn’t love him, and in fact soon marries someone else. Rennie comes home, having lost an arm in Korea: Millie doesn’t care, she loves him.

Synopsis for "Fatal Error"

Jean becomes a successful model thanks to Peter’s photography, but once she’s famous she dumps him for handsome male model Armand. Armand takes her to Hollywood, but Jean fails her screen test and he walks out. A studio executive says Jean’s print photos reflect the fact that they were taken by someone who loved her, something that the movies can't duplicate. Jean apologises to Peter and they are reunited.
