By 1957, Glenn Lord had collected, edited, and co-published with Arkham House the first ever volume of Howard's poetry, Always Comes Evening.[1]
Later, he edited several volumes of Howards's poems, collections of stories, letters and related material, in his own magazine "The Howard Collector" and later in several paperbacks.[1]
From 1966,[2] Glenn Lord was the "literary agent"[3][2] or literary executor for the estate of Robert E. Howard estate.[3][4]
At this position, he handled the selling and packaging of Robert E. Howard's work in books and magazines all over the world, and managed to get most of Howard's fiction to be published, and it is possible that his efforts saved Bran Mak Morn, Cormac Mac Art, Dark Agnes, Turlogh O'Brien and others heroes.[2]
Circa 1975, Roy Thomas introduced Glenn (who was in Texas) by telephone to the filmamker Ed Summer, the film producer of Edward R. Pressman.[1]
He held that role until a few months before Savage Sword of Conan #226[2] (October, 1994).
Technical advisor for Savage Sword[]
As soon as Savage Tales #2 (October, 1973), Glenn Lord was credited as a "technical advisor" or "technical adviser", and wrote articles for Marvel Comics. That title was given to him by Roy Thomas.
