Bodyslide
Bodyslide is a teleportation process utilized by Cable and Deadpool. It refers to the method through which these characters can instantaneously transport themselves or others from one location to another.
Cable described as "the instantaneous transportation of living tissue from any location to a set of pre-programmed coordinates." This ability is not limited by physical distance, allowing individuals to traverse vast distances within moments.[1]
The mechanics of bodysliding differ slightly from conventional teleportation methods. Rather than a straightforward disappearance from one location and reappearance in another, bodysliding involves a sense of molecular disassembly and reassembly. This process gives the impression of individuals being torn apart and reconstructed at their destination, adding a unique visual element to their teleportation.
Cable and Deadpool Connection
In the dynamic between Cable and Deadpool, bodysliding takes on a unique twist. Initially, Cable possessed a teleportation matrix that allowed him to transport himself and others. However, due to unforeseen circumstances such as the Facade Virus, Cable and Deadpool's DNA became intertwined, leading to a fusion of their abilities. Cable's teleportation technology adapted to recognize Deadpool's DNA, enabling both individuals to utilize the bodyslide function interchangeably.[2]
X-Cutioner
While monitoring Cable's "bodyslides," X-Cutioner tracked his teleportations and piggyback on the signal, enabling him to track his movements and teleport himself wherever Cable went. When Cable ventured to the Xavier School to confront his father, Cyclops, the X-Cutioner seized the opportunity to strike.[3]
