Dark Gods

Dark Gods are usually demons and/or evil gods, often ancient/eldritch entities.

Many races and groups have been called "Dark Gods" along the time: the Old Ones, the N'Garai, the dark gods worshiped by the Psyklop...

The Dark Gods presented here may or may not be related to each others, apart that by that name, originated from their status as ancient and evil deities.

History

On Earth, many groups and beings were described as "dark gods", including:

• The Old Ones.
• The N'Garai.
• The Dark Gods of Narcisson.
• The Dark Gods of Khitai, during the Hyborian Age, which included Kuro, Prince of Darkness.
• The dark gods worshiped by the race of the Psyklop, who might be the N'Garai, the Undying Ones, any of the Old Ones, or another race of demons.
• The beings who made a deal with the Barsoomian Zhuvan D'ark to grant him immortality.

Additionally, a certain number of gods and demons have received that appellation, including Nexxx, the Tuatha de Danaan god Arawn, or the being worshiped by the Avians' blackraven cultists and served by the Wayfarer.

The Nethergods' name suggest that those demonic beings were degenerated dark gods, though they might be degenerated deities from the Elder Gods (akin to Set and Chthon), the Hyborian Age, of from the Celtic Gods (Tuatha de Danaan).
