Third Cosmos
"Third Cosmos" is the denomination given to the third iteration of existence and second Multiverse.[1][2] It is a defunct Multiverse that no longer exists. As the Second Cosmos was the first Multiverse to exist and the first to die, the Third Cosmos was the first Multiverse to be reborn after a cosmic all-death.[3][4]
Having learned the lessons of being and non-being, the Third Cosmos formed the earliest sparks of "narrative." Other than the Celestials,[4] the Third Cosmos was inhabited by Lifebringer One, the legendary first hero, and the Anti-All, the great dragon from the "Under-Lands" beneath infinity.[5] They battled each other and represented existence and nothingness, respectively. The Third Cosmos was also primitive: Time and distance had little-to-no meaning, and advanced concepts such as magic and science did not exist yet. Any attempts at using advanced forms of power would draw from Lifebringer One. Following the Anti-All's defeat, its essence was scattered across the Multiverse, and it is believed that the pieces became the various void entities that would emerge later on, including in subsequent Multiverses.[3]
As part of the renewal cycle, after the Third Cosmos ended, it was replaced by the Fourth Cosmos.[1][2]
- Former Inhabitants
- Celestials[1][4]
- The Celestials are from the First Cosmos. They started the multiversal cycles and have passed on to every incarnation.[1][4] They are also involved in the creation process at the start of each cycle.[6]
